Greek Chicken Burgers

🧄 Ingredients
For the Chicken Patties

500 g (1 lb) ground chicken

½ small red onion, finely chopped

1 tbsp fresh dill (or 1 tsp dried)

Zest of 1 lemon

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp dried oregano

½ tsp paprika

¼ tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

Tzatziki Sauce (Quick Version)

1 cup Greek yogurt
-
½ cucumber, grated & squeezed dry

1 clove garlic, minced
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
Salt to taste
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Make the Burger Mixture
In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, garlic, red onion, feta, parsley, dill, lemon zest, lemon juice, oregano, paprika, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
Mix gently until just combined (don’t overmix).
2. Shape the Patties
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties, about ¾-inch thick.
3. Cook the Burgers
Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil it.
Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).
4. Prepare the Tzatziki
Mix all tzatziki ingredients in a bowl. Chill for 10 minutes for best flavor.
5. Assemble
Toast buns lightly.
Add lettuce, chicken patty, tomato, cucumber, red onion, and a generous spoon of tzatziki.
