Korean Fire Noodles (7-Minute Fiery Bliss)

Ingredients

1 pack Korean instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packet)

1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)

1 teaspoon gochugaru (Korean chili flakes) – adjust to taste

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sugar or honey

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 clove garlic, minced

1 teaspoon vegetable oil

1 tablespoon water (from the noodle pot)

Optional toppings:

Soft-boiled or fried egg

Green onions, sliced

Sesame seeds

Mozzarella or American cheese (for creamy fire noodles)

Instructions

Cook the noodles
Bring water to a boil and cook ramen noodles according to package instructions (about 3–4 minutes).
Drain, reserving 1 tablespoon of the cooking water. -
Make the fire sauce
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add garlic and sauté for 10–15 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and the reserved noodle water.
Cook for 30–45 seconds until thick and glossy. -
Toss the noodles
Add drained noodles directly to the sauce.
Toss quickly to coat evenly, cooking for 1–2 minutes until sticky and fiery. -
Finish & serve
Transfer to a bowl.
Top with egg, green onions, sesame seeds, or melty cheese if desired.
